The fees for a Diagnostic Evaluation vary according to each individual's situation. A young child does not have a very long paper trail that needs to be reviewed; teens and young adults, often do. Many adults left school in a time when students were not tested or provided services, so they often do not come with an extensive paper trail for review. However, adults often have long, and complicated medical, social, and family histories which need to be reviewed as part of the evaluation. It takes significantly more time to complete an evaluation for an adult , with a long, complicated history, than it does on a child who is just starting school.
